The Food Database
|

Our data comes from the USDA's (United States Department of Agriculture)
Agricultural Research Service. We have used their latest data (2004), which is
known as the Nutrient Database for Standard Reference, Release 16-1. We have
used selected values from their database in the interest of ease of use.
This database is a very good resource for food nutrient data. If you look at
calorie or gram counter books that list 1000's of foods, you will probably see
this as their source.
